Full-time residents can buy a single family home, or a condo and enjoy the benefits of the Florida lifestyle all year 'round. Every home, whether a condo or single family home is easy walking distance to the water for a day of fun and sun.
If you prefer condo living, go ahead and buy a condo you can live in all year, or rent out seasonally, if you have a bit of the investor in you. Depending on the particular condo, you can rent for a little as a week at a time, or you may have a longer minimum rental period - as little as three months at a time. Or the St. Petersburg Grand Prix, an open wheel automobile race through downtown St. Petersburg. That makes for an exciting full weekend of events. In January of 2017, nearby Tampa is home to the college football national championship game. That will be one of the biggest events in the area for the entire year.
